Make Mine Herbal~

Tea is in the news on many levels on any given day.
In fact I was not aware that there are so many kinds of tea..thousands upon thousands no doubt...reds, greens, blacks, white and....yellow ?
I actually love tea leaf for special times or just for a change.
Green tea is much tauted for its health benefits....and rightfully so.
White tea is a good choice if you are looking for less caffeine.
Red tea is just plain delicious...and very loaded with good things.
Black tea is my least favorite, but the most used for iced tea.
With so many choices how does one decide ?
Well, I just say...make mine herbal.
Nothing compares to a warm cup of LavenderCap or a piping hot cup of GingerZing.
The Lavender will relax you and promote a good nights sleep.
The GingerZing will jump start your day in a way that will make you happy to be a tea drinker~

Hi Richard, I grew up with the classic southern sweet tea.
My sister still uses my mothers recipe and I must say it is delicious. I too will make it when a lot of family is around that still uses sugar.
Ingredients
3 Family size tea bags
2 Cups of cold water
1 Cup of sugar
I use only Luzianne Tea Bags ( another southern thing)
Place the two cups water in a pot and add the tea bags. Bring to a boil, do not continue boiling. Remove from heat and let steep.
Remove tea bags and add sugar to the hot tea until it is dissolved.
Pour warm tea into empty half gallon pitcher. Fill remaining pitcher with cold water.
Cool in the frig before adding ice.

My favorite recipe is from loose green tea leaf.
About 1/4 cup to 2 cups boiling water.
Remove from heat and steep for 7-10 minutes.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of powdered stevia...stir to dissolve. Stevia dissolves very easily.
Add enough cold water to make a half gallon of tea.
Cool and serve over ice-cubes with your favorite fresh fruit slices in the bottom of your glass....I love really ripe peaches and I also like kiwi.
