Thanksgiving Recipe # 7 from the Sage Hill Table~

Tart Cranberry Sauce~

2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries-( if frozen,partially thaw )
1/2 cup honey ( or a sugar )
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons grated orange rind
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan: cook over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until cranberry skins pop and sauce thickens, stirring often.

Serve warm or cold over turkey, ham or ice cream.

Mmmm... did I get this recipe FROM you, Bea? This is how I make cranberry sauce, too. I didn't use the ginger or cloves in mine but everything else is the same. Next time I'll add those as well. Also... cranberries are so good for you that I try to remember to make them not just on Thanksgiving, but with roasts throughout the season! I always feel like the tart berries are working some magic that's needed after all that meat in the system! Thanks for sharing.
